Improving quality of life to promote social mobility.

A Solidarity Surgery is a specialized surgical procedure provided to vulnerable individuals, made possible by Clínica Bíblica’s Social Action Program, the commitment of professionals from the Network of Doctors for Solidarity, and strategic partnerships, which help cover the associated costs and ensure timely care that has a direct impact on the patient’s life and their community.

Early Detection of Cancer

Cervical and Prostate Cancer Screening Program

Adrian Zuñiga 3

This initiative addresses a priority public health need, given that prostate cancer has the highest incidence and mortality rates among men in Costa Rica, while cervical cancer is one of the leading causes of death among women.

The implementation of early detection programs saves lives because it allows for diagnosis in the early stages, facilitating timely interventions, less invasive treatments, and better clinical outcomes.

Visual Acuity Screenings

We make this screening accessible to school-age children

Adrian Zuñiga 3(1)
This initiative assesses visual acuity in school-age children, with the goal of detecting potential vision problems early on that could affect their learning and development. Through this screening, children are identified and provided with prescription eyeglasses tailored to their needs, promoting their overall well-being and enhancing both their academic performance and their quality of life.

Scholarships: Healthcare Technicians

We offer scholarships for short-term technical programs with high employability rates

Adrian Zuñiga 2(10)
We promote access to technical training programs in the health sector, aimed at vulnerable populations, through scholarships for short-term programs that lead to high employability.
This initiative strengthens labor market integration, promotes the development of technical skills, and contributes to social mobility, helping to break the cycle of poverty and improve the quality of life for the beneficiaries and their families.

Shared commitment, real impact:

A partnership that strengthens the fight against breast cancer.

As founding partners of Alsalus, we are part of the only public-private partnership focused on the early detection of breast cancer in rural, border, and coastal areas, making a real impact on the health of women living in socially vulnerable communities.

Together, we can achieve more. Find out how to get involved.
