Prevention and treatment of colon polyps: what they are and how to detect them

Polyps are tumorous growths that occur in the internal wall of the colon, polyps can be benign or malignant, that is to say, neoplastic or non-neoplastic polyps.

Neoplastic polyps are those that are going to have a much higher risk of generating colon cancer. This is the greatest and most feared risk of colon polyps.
